Before You Reach Out

Common Questions

If your question isn't here, that's exactly what your first call with Scott is for.

What areas do you serve?

We build and remodel throughout Murfreesboro, Tullahoma, and McMinnville, Tennessee, and the surrounding areas. If you're not sure whether your property falls within our service area, reach out and we'll let you know.

What kind of projects do you take on?

Semi-custom home builds, remodels, and additions, with in-house design included on every project. Whether you're planning a full renovation or a smaller update, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a good fit.

Do you handle design, or do I need to bring my own plans?

Design is included, not an add-on. Our in-house designer, Libby, works with you on detailed renderings and 3D visualizations so you can see your renovation before construction ever begins. If you already have plans or an architect, we're happy to work from those instead.

How much does a typical project cost?

It depends entirely on scope, and we'd rather give you an honest number than a misleading one. Most of our projects fall somewhere between $50,000 and $300,000+, but the only way to get a real estimate is a conversation about your specific project.

How long will my project take?

There's no single answer. We build in room for the things no contractor fully controls: weather, material lead times, inspection scheduling, and how quickly decisions get made on your end. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we understand your project, and we'll tell you right away if anything changes it.

How does payment work?

Your payment schedule is agreed on in writing before construction starts, structured around a deposit, progress payments tied to completed work, and a final payment at the end. No surprise invoices.

Do you offer financing?

We don't offer financing directly, but we're glad to talk through your budget and payment schedule during your free consultation so there are no surprises.

What happens if I want to change something after construction starts?

Any change to scope becomes a written Change Order that you approve before we move forward, so you're never billed for work you didn't agree to. The faster decisions get made, the smoother your schedule stays.

Is your work covered by a warranty?

Yes. Every completed project is backed by a one-year workmanship warranty. That covers workmanship, not normal wear and tear or manufacturer defects, and we'll always be upfront about what's included.

Are you licensed and insured?

Scott is a licensed Tennessee General Contractor (BC-A), License #83791. Every subcontractor on your project is personally verified for proper licensing and insurance before work begins.

How will I know what's happening during construction?

You'll always know who's responsible and what's next. We keep communication organized and stay in direct contact with you through your project manager, so you're never left guessing.

How do I get started?

Reach out through our contact form or give Scott a call directly. He personally takes the first call on every project, no sales pitch, just a straightforward conversation about your project and whether we're the right fit.
