Construction Laborer
Scott Chaney Construction is a residential construction and general contracting company specializing in luxury kitchen and bathroom remodels, whole-home remodels, and additions. We're a small, hands-on team that takes pride in quality craftsmanship, clean job sites, and treating every client's home like our own. The Construction Laborer is an essential member of our field crews, working as part of a two-person crew and supporting every phase of a project, from demolition and site prep through framing, finish work, and final cleanup.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with demolition, site prep, and material handling at the start of each project
- Support framing, finish carpentry, and other trades as directed by the crew lead
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment on and off the jobsite
- Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe throughout each phase of work
- Perform final cleanup and haul-off once a project wraps up
- Follow directions closely and communicate clearly with the crew lead and teammates
- Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
- Willingness to learn and take direction well
- Comfortable with physical labor in a variety of weather conditions
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work full days on a consistent schedule
- Prior construction or labor experience is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver's license
Compensation & Growth
$16–$25/hour based on experience. All tools and equipment are provided. This is a great entry point into the trades, with the opportunity to build real skills on the job and grow into a carpentry or lead role as you take on more responsibility.
